My debut novel, Vow of Celibacy, was just released by Rare Bird Books in August 2016 and has already received some really great reviews. My words have also appeared in VanityFair.com, Salon, Thought Catalog, and on my blog at so make it up. And I’ve written for the stage with The Meaning of Wife, which got four stars from Time Out New York, and as a contributor to Wake Up World!, Lizz Winstead’s satirical off-Broadway show.
As a stand-up, I started out at the best comedy club in the world: the Comedy Studio in Cambridge, Massachusetts. I’ve appeared on NBC’s Last Comic Standing (2014), on Comedy Central’s Live at Gotham (2008), and at lots of festivals, including Women in Comedy, Bridgetown, Boston, and Laugh Your Asheville Off, as well as Eugene Mirman’s eponymous one. I’ve told jokes at clubs, on boats, at colleges, and in Europe, and I’ve performed in more than 60 North American cities with my tour mates. My first comedy album, So Many Choices, is available on Rooftop Comedy.
I talk and write about queerness, sexuality, body image, culture, and my life. I love words, ideas, mysticism, humans, justice, love, friendship, art, and Andrew Molera State Park. I believe #BlackLivesMatter, misogyny hurts everyone, and pizza is a human right. If you want more me, let’s connect on social media!
