I have also made the parallel that the 1996 Creating Change Bi/Trans Action was reprised, in form, in 2016 when Katherine Acey got her award and she asked different identity groups to stand up and allies of these groups, again it was that visual of people in a mass plenary gathering space to be able to see smaller identity groups, like aging people (which she was getting her award for), and different breakdowns of that, yet in 2016 there is still bi erasure and trans erasure.
Also, as Lani reminded me, there were intersex people with the bi and trans people in that 1996 action and it was one of the first times intersex adults came to an LGBT event and educated others about intersex identities.
